Company Description

Nestled in the fertile Uncompahgre Valley of central Colorado, Berkeley Estate Cellars produces graceful, yet complex wines that mirror its landscape. Gouged by Black Canyon of the Gunnison, the region boasts plentiful irrigation.

The town of Olathe, Colorado, is at the same latitude as Napa Valley, California, and while our wines are similar in some respects, they are also very distinctive. A higher growing altitude (5,000 feet)
rocky, sandy soil
and variable weather combine to create wines that are brighter, more complex, and bigger in flavor.

The vineyard was originally established in 2003 in Olathe, CO a Western Slope community known for producing a variety of fruits including apples, peaches, and of course, wine grapes.
